RideKC was created through extensive discussions with transit riders, the public, elected leaders and local municipalities. The final solution was selected for its universal nature and intuitive simplicity. Like LA, DC and NYC, the Kansas City region is nationally recognized by our acronym, KC. The name, RideKC, is the umbrella for all modes of transportation operating in the Kansas City area.
